Residential Garbage Pickup
The City of Flin Flon collects residential garbage and recycling from curbside bins on a five-day schedule.

Garbage is not collected on statutory holidays, but crews will work double-duty the next day to pick up the neighbourhoods that were missed on the holiday, as well as the neighbourhood scheduled for that day.
If your garbage bin was out the night before and your garbage was missed, you can always call City Hall front desk at 1-833-210-6435, and we will make sure it’s picked up.
Please keep the following other rules in mind when disposing of curbside garbage:
- Up to four black garbage bags (90-115L in size) will be picked up per household, per week.
- Tags for additional garbage bags can be purchased from City Hall for $3/bag, per bag.
- Keep a clear path to the garbage bins.
- Provide your own garbage bin with secure, animal-proof lids.
- Ensure bins are out no earlier than 12 hours before pickup.
- Only household garbage will be picked up.
- No furniture, appliances, or construction material will be picked up.
- Grass clippings and leaves must be bagged.
- Cat litter or dog feces must be double-bagged and put into sealed cardboard boxes.
- Bags weighing more than 40 lbs. (20 kgs) will be labelled with a "Heavy" sticker and left for disposal by the homeowner.
- Refrigerator Tags can be purchased for $25.00 at City Hall in Flin Flon or at the Landfill.
